Shikhar Dhawan is currently with the Indian team in New Zealand and preparing for the ODI series.
Monday mornings can often be very lazy and uninspiring. After a good weekend, people generally tend to take their time to settle into the new week and no wonder why the adage of ‘Monday morning blues’ has become so popular, or rather overused. Well, while the Monday mornings are lazy for most people, Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan definitely had his own plans on a fine Monday morning.
Here is the video of Dhawan’s workout:
“No shortcuts to hardwork! Only hardwork can make success look easy. #success #hardwork #mehnat #noshortcuts #MondayMotivation,” Shikhar Dhawan captioned the video that he shared.

Dhawan is currently with the Indian team in New Zealand. India is set to play ODI and T20I series during their tour. After a lacklustre tour of Australia, Dhawan would want to make amends against the Blackcaps and hope for improved performance. In the recently concluded ODI series against Australia, Dhawan could only muster 55 runs across the 3 innings that he played and averaged less than 20.
Despite the poor run, the southpaw is certain to feature in the starting eleven of the Indian lineup in the first ODI. The opening encounter will be played at Napier on January 23. However, if Dhawan fails to make a mark in the series, he would be under some pressure since there are the likes of Shubman Gill in the squad, who are eagerly knocking the doors of Indian cricket.
